Blessing is a non-profit
Christian based organization made by God through my son, Taylor. In
his words… I was in Atlanta Georgia helping refugees that had arrived from
all over the world, all religions, and all ethnic groups. We were
able to visit an I.H.O.P. or International House of Prayer. I prayed
for God to work in my heart and after an hour and a half of prayer, the
idea of an organization that would help newly arrived refugees was given
to me. These people have nothing; they were forced out of their
homeland; threatened by the loss of life many of these people made it to
countries where they could apply for refuge status. This on average
will take 5 years. During this time they will live in a refugee
camp, to put it short these people are in a concentration camp but they
aren’t being killed, they die from disease. Once in a resettlement
country such as the U.S. they face prejudice because of insolence.
They speak little or no English and don’t know American customs.
Then they borrow money or thankfully given quarters with other
refugees. Then they start over a new life, most strive to be
productive Americans and they embrace our culture.
Our goal is to raise anything we can to help these people. As God’s children, it is duty to help the less fortunate and spread the good news. We will raise money, furniture and hopefully be able to send mission teams to go to people and deliver furniture and toys. In addition we might get the chance to minister although this is a very sensitive subject as not all of them are Christians. If you are interested in helping but have nothing to give then do not worry the important thing needed are prayers.
